Sacramental preparation occurs at different times of the year. Each sacrament follows a particular schedule and form depending on a person’s age and previous background. Click on “Forms” to register. For particulars regarding any sacrament, please call:
Parents who want their children to be baptized need to be active members of the parish and contact the parish office in order to schedule a time for the sacrament. Parents need to meet with Fr. John in order to fill out necessary forms and review the purpose and need for Baptism.
Please pray for the young people about to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation here at St. Timothy and throughout the archdiocese. Requirements are that candidates must be enrolled in a separate RE program for two years, usually 7th and 8th grades, prior to being confirmed in the faith.
Preparation for First Eucharist (Communion) of children occurs through our regular Religious Education program. Children must be enrolled in RE classes for two years prior to reception of this sacrament, with few exceptions. Preparation for First Communion of an adult occurs though the RCIA program.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (also called Penance or Confession) takes place each Saturday at 3 pm. It can also be scheduled by appointment. Seasonal reception of the sacrament also occurs on a vicariate level during Lent and Advent. Other seasonal experiences occur jointly at both St. Joseph and at St. Timothy Catholic Churches in Trenton.
Reception of this sacrament normally occurs during preparation for First Communion, usually in the second grade.
Parishioners who want to be married at St. Timothy need to be members of our parish for at least 6 months in order to set a wedding date. If one or both of the wedding couple’s parents are active members of our parish, their adult children can be married at St. Timothy Church. Call the parish office to set up a meeting with Fr. John
Call the office in order to have Fr. John come to anoint a member of the parish or a family member. People who are preparing for surgery, or those who are actively ill also may receive the sacrament. We also hold anointings twice a year during Sunday Mass. Please contact Fr. John if you have any specific questions concerning this sacrament.
